JUNIOR TEAM TENNIS HISTORY

Team Tennis lost the sponsor (Aegon) from 2018, our view of the competition changed with 15 team fixtures being cancelled by our opponents. This was somewhat caused due to the lack of participation by other North Devon Clubs.

The lack of a sponsor for 2018, the lack of local opposition, the difficulty (both ends) with team travel, the commitment to team tennis dates, all pointed to a rethink of our participation in & support of team tennis from 2019. We have consulted over preferred competition formats & a decision was made to not participate for the 2019  summer seasons & the 2020 season was cancelled due to the coronavirus. We will review the competition changes for 2023.

REGIONAL TEAM TENNIS - South West

For Summer 2018, as with 2017, we had 3 (2 for 2016) age group teams competing at a regional level

12 & under Boys
14 & under Boys x 2

COUNTY TEAM TENNIS - Devon

For Summer 2018 we had 14 (17 in 2017, 12 in 2016) age group teams competing at a county level. We were somwhat impacted by only 4 teams across all other North Devon clubs with a junior programme.

JUNIORS COMPETING IN ADULT TEAMS

Our 12U to 18U junior girls currently compete in the ladies TEAM TENNIS teams. Typically 16U/18U boys compete in the Men's teams & for 2023 we are looking to increase participation to include 12U/14U Boys
