Wimbledon Comes to Patterdale!

On Sunday 2nd July we held our very own mini "Wimbledon" with a friendly competitive tournament. We had a good turn out and played five rounds of 15 minutes swapping round partners each round. A very good time was had by all and in true Wimbledon style we all enjoyed Pimms and strawberries. Again in Wimbledon style it rained of course but even without the luxury of a roof (or even Cliff Richard to sing) the rain certainly did not dampen our spirits. Each person kept an individual game score and in the end Emma Shephard was the overall winner followed closely by Andrew Nurse and Sue Kay. The Croquet section also turned out for the occasion and managed to play a few games whilst sheltering during the showers.
