Charnwood Tennis Club hosted their annual Mixed Doubles Club Championships on Sunday 15 September.
Thirteen pairings entered this competition played on a combination of their clay and savannah courts.
The morning saw round robin matches (first to four games). This was followed in the afternoon by knock-outs for the Club Championship, the Plate and also the Consolation (all first to six games).
Top seeds Russell Mayes and club captain Holly Cheeseman won the Club Championships with a 6-1 victory over Jack Phillips and Issy Agar in the final.
The plate was won by Chris and Sue Mears who defeated Raj Chaggar and Els Braithwaite by 6-3.
Nick and Gail Barham were victorious in the consolation final with a victory over Nikki Miles and Amar Messali by 6-2.
Members and spectators also raised £278.38 for Loughborough-based Rainbows, with fundraising events throughout the day.
