Welcome to Beacon Tennis Club
We are a small club based in the centre of Woodhouse Eaves, which provides two hard courts for members to use on a come and play basis, secured with combination padlocks. There is no booking system - if a court is free you are welcome to go on and use it, if both courts are being used with players waiting, then it is expected that whichever game next completes a set will finish and allow the waiting players to use the court.
The membership year starts on 1 April. Senior membership (18+) is £25 for the year, Junior membership (9-17) is £10. Under 9's play for free with a senior member.
Once you have paid for your membership you will receive the code for the padlocks.
To open the padlock, set the code on the dials and then press the button at the bottom of the padlock to open it. When you close the padlock please remember to scramble the code.
Guests are welcome to play with members, there is a guest fee of £1 per time and we rely on your honesty to pay this! Guest fees can be paid any time on this website.
The courts are occasionally used by St Paul's School or other kid's clubs, and we will have Group coaching for Juniors and Adults on a Wednesday evening this summer, which is provided by GSM Leisure. More details on our coaching page, or to sign up please see Beacon Tennis Club - GSM Leisure Tennis Coaching.
Please note that due to the coaching or other use, courts will be unavailable for general play on:
- both courts, Wednesday 4-8pm from 27 April to 6 July
- the top court, 2-3pm on Tuesday 19 to Friday 22 April, Monday 18 to Friday 22 July, Monday 15 to Friday 19 August.
For any further queries please call or message Ed de Salis Young (chair) on 07971 060390, or Paul Rowley (membership secretary) on 07969 943872.
