Welcome, Parents. At Corbridge Tennis Club, we're excited to help your child discover the joy of tennis. Our junior programmes are designed to be fun, engaging, and provide a fantastic way for children to learn new skills, make friends, and stay active in a safe and supportive environment.
🎾 Our Expert Coaching Partner: We Do Tennis
We've partnered with We Do Tennis to deliver all our junior coaching. Their team of LTA accredited, fully qualified, and DBS-checked coaches ensures your child receives top-quality instruction in a safe and encouraging setting.
To participate in these coaching programmes, your child will need a Corbridge Tennis Club Junior Membership plus separate monthly coaching fees (typically from £20/month) paid directly to We Do Tennis. Blue Tots Tennis (Ages 3-6): Starting Their Tennis Adventure.
Is your little one ready for their first taste of tennis? Our Tots Tennis sessions are the perfect start. We focus on play-based learning, helping your child develop fundamental movement skills - agility, balance, and coordination - all while having a brilliant time.
- Session Time: Saturdays, 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM
- What your child will enjoy: Fun games, activities with soft balls and smaller rackets, and a wonderful opportunity to make new friends and burn off some energy.
- Membership Required for Your Child: Yes, a Junior Membership.
- Coaching Fees: Payable monthly to We Do Tennis (see note above).

Thinking of playing with your U8 child yourself? The Guardian/Parent Only Membership Add-on might be a great option for you outside of these coached sessions.
Mini Tennis (Ages 6-9): Building Skills with Every Swing.
Mini Tennis is specially designed for primary school-aged children. We use modified equipment like slower balls, smaller courts, and rackets perfectly sized for little hands. This helps children learn the game effectively and build confidence quickly.
- Mini Red Tennis (Ages 6-8):
• Session Time: Saturdays, 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM
• Your child will learn to rally, serve, and understand scoring on a smaller court using softer red balls. It's all about getting them playing points and having fun. - Mini Orange Tennis (Ages 8-9):
• Session Time: Saturdays, 2:00 PM - 3:00 PM
• As skills develop, children transition to a slightly larger court with orange balls, working on more advanced techniques and simple game tactics.
Membership Required for Your Child: Yes, a Junior Membership.

Junior Yellow Tennis (Ages 10+): Taking Their Game Further.
For older juniors, these sessions move to a full-size court using standard yellow balls. Our coaches will help your child continue to develop their technique, tactical understanding, and enjoy friendly match play.
- Session Time: Saturdays, 3:00 PM - 4:00 PM
- Developing their game: Focus on refining all aspects of tennis, building confidence for friendly matches, and preparing them for potential junior team participation as they progress.
- Membership Required for Your Child: Yes, a Junior Membership.

We understand that as a parent, your child's safety and well-being are paramount. We are committed to providing a secure and positive environment for all our junior players. All coaching is conducted by DBS-checked, LTA-accredited coaches from We Do Tennis, who follow LTA safeguarding guidelines.

What Should Your Child Bring?
To help your child get the most out of their sessions, please ensure they have:
- Comfortable sportswear suitable for active play and appropriate trainers (non-marking soles, please).
- A water bottle to stay hydrated.
- Sunscreen and a cap during warmer weather.
- Rackets can often be borrowed for the first few sessions - please confirm with We Do Tennis when you book.
- Most importantly: A willingness to have fun and learn something new.
