Head Coach:

Pete Caseley Level Four Coach

Pete is an LTA accredited+ and experienced level four coach. He took over the coaching programme at Sodbury on  1 October 2022.

Pete is accredited to coach both adults and children and is involved in the Inclusive Tennis Programme at Sodbury Tennis Club. He is available to provide 1:1 coaching sessions.

Chris Butcher, Level Four Coach

Chris is an LTA accredited level three coach. Chris is  part of the coaching team and coaches during the Junior programme  on  Tuesdays and Thursdays,  Chris has undertaken the Lta youth start course, formerly Tennis For Kids. Chris takes 1on1 sessions with many of the club's league mini and junior players.   Chris has played in the club junior teams and now represents the club in the men's Summer League first team.  Please contact the Head Coach,  Pete, if you would like a 1 to 1 private coaching session.

Ben Hardwick, Level four coach

Ben is an LTA accredited level 4. he os accredited to coach both adults and children.  He is also involved in the Club's Inclusive Tennis Programme.  Ben joined the Sodbury coaching team in September 2023. he is head Coach at Cam Vale  Tennis Club and in the past he has coached at the South Glos Tennis Academy, (Rodway Hill) and the University of Bristol.  Ben is available for 1:1 private coaching sessions. Please contact Head Coach to arrange.

Abigail Matthews,LTA  accredited level 2 tennis assistant:

Abi started playing at the club as a mini red and has progressed through the age groups playing at all levels and regularly being part of the winning teams. She currently plays in the Ladies 1st's League team. Abi has been the ladies singles club Champion since 2020.

Abi likes taking the mini red sessions and assisting with LTA youth start courses. She also assists with orange, green and 12u  junior sessions. Abi  achieved her level 2 qualification in 2022.

Hobbes Gaulton,LTA  accredited level 2 coach assistant.

Hobbes started playing at the club as a junior and has now progressed to the senior teams. He attained his level 2 award during the summer of 2022. he assists with term time and holiday tennis.

Eleanor Finch, LTA accredited level 2 coaching assistant.

Eleanor started playing at the club as a mini red and has progressed through the age groups playing at all levels and regularly being part of the winning teams. She currently plays in the Ladies 2nd's League team. In 2021 she was in the Ladies doubles Annual Club Tournamen Final.

Eleanor likes taking the mini red sessions and assisting with LTA youth start courses. She aslo assists with orange, green and 12u  junior sessions. Eleanor attained her level 2 in October 2021.

Level One and Level Two Tennis Assistants must always work under the guidance of the Head Coach and may not give private one to one tuition for payment.

All coaches with LTA accreditation  have been  DBS checked, are first aid trained and have attended safe guarding courses.

The coaching programme is intended to provide something for all members and give them the potential to develop their tennis skills and continued enjoyment of the game.
