Cheddar Tennis club will be participating in the Lawn Tennis Association’s TENNIS FOR KIDS scheme.
Originally launched in 2015 to celebrate Great Britain’s historic Davis Cup triumph the scheme is aimed at inspiring children to try tennis for the first time.
Tennis for kids is primarily for children who have never played before, focusing on fun and combining hand eye coordination with basic tennis skills.
Cheddar club’s coach Stephen Pearce (pictured here with Annabel Croft, former British No 1 tennis player) will be running the six- session course for children aged 4-11 between 3rd June and 8th July.
For £25 children will receive six coaching sessions, a bespoke racket, set of balls and a personalised T-shirt.
