Sam Sherwood Dawson (pictured here with coach Stephen Pearce) has recently received Cheddar Tennis Club’s most improved player award.

Stephen comments that ‘Sam has represented the club in Team Tennis events and was the runner-up in the 10 & under Junior Club Championships. He is a very hardworking and committed student who always puts on his best efforts in training. Subsequently Sam’s tennis has come on leaps and bounds and he is now able to rally with far greater consistency.’

.                       Sam is one of many youngsters taking advantage of the excellent range of junior coaching sessions run throughout the year by Stephen, a level 4 LTA qualified coach.

During the upcoming school holidays Easter tennis camps for juniors are being run by the club for both members and non-members alike.

The club also offers lots of opportunities for adults to play tennis, catering for all ranges of abilities. Rusty returner, ladies coaching and cardio tennis sessions are available for those wishing to improve their skills and fitness as well as social play and a full league programme.
