Club Sessions
For many members, Club Sessions are at the heart of the Club. They are a chance to play some fun tennis (usually doubles) with different people, without the hassle of organising a 4 and they are a great way to meet other members.
Club Sessions take place on Saturday afternoons, Friday mornings and on Wednesday evenings.
Day time sessions are open to both full and associate members and evening sessions to full members.
Wednesday session - 7pm to 9pm - please see bookings page for courts allocated each week
Friday session - 10am to 12pm on Courts 3 & 4
Saturday session - 2pm to 4pm on Courts 5,6,7 & 8 (or 1:30 to 3:30pm in winter)
Volunteer Led Social groups (VLSGs)
We also have numerous Volunteer Led Social Groups (VLSGs) which are open groups set up by individual members which encourage other members to apply to join. They run throughout the week in the mornings and on weekends and are a another great way to meet other players and to find your level. To find more details and who to apply to please click on this link.
Coaching
We have a very full Coaching Programme for Adults and Juniors run for us by top class coaches– for details, visit our coaching pages. which give details of set programmes and sessions how to apply.
Our coaches are also happy to arrange Individual Lessons by being contacted directlly.
We have a thriving Junior Programme with many promising players coming through. For full details click here.
Club competions
For those who enjoy competitive matches, we have a range of Club Competitions throughout the season. We also run an annual club tournament in the summer for singles and doubles.
Teams
We have numerous teams that play in the Cambridgeshire League (click on our Teams page for details) and practice together at team coaching sessions.
All members are welcome to try for the teams but please be aware that competition is fierce at most levels and places are not always available. Successful players are not chosen solely on their ability but also on their availability, commitment and length of service to the team. Usually players need to make themselves available for team coaching sessions as well as matches.
Individual games
Of course, all members are welcome to arrange individual games with other members. League ladders are reguallry run through the club. Please ask Lawrence Rook for details.
You can invite non-members to play with you at a cost of £5 per hour guest fee. (See Booking for details)
