In the week 13-20 August 2023, Gary Payton (Head coach at Keswick & Braithwaite Tennis Club), took a week away from coaching to head down to London to take part in the British Masters National Grass Court Championships held at the All England Club, Wimbledon. Playing in a very strong field, as you would expect, Gary had a fantastic week winning both the singles and doubles events in his category, winning the Singles Final 6-1, 6-2 and the Doubles Final 6-3, 6-4. Gary hopes these wins will help his chances of selection for the GB team in the 2024 World Championships in Mexico City.
