Cumbria TDO “nets” Great Britain call-up
Cumbria’s Tennis Development Officer Gary Payton has been selected to play for Great Britain in the forthcoming ITF Masters World Team Championships to be held in Mexico City at the end of April, with his selection coming off the back of a very successful 2023 season, during which he won both the Singles and Doubles titles at the British National Grass Court Championships at Wimbledon in August.
The GB team will arrive in time to acclimatise to the high altitude location (a little under 7,500 feet above sea level), and will take part in the traditional Opening Ceremony before playing their first match on 28th April.
Live streaming of a number of match courts will be provided during the event, as will live scoring from most courts.
