Tucked behind Scotland Street, in the centre of Edinburgh, this friendly club offers a great location, two lovely blaes courts, and a wonderfully versatile 'top court' which is used for children's coaching sessions, by families, by players for warming up before competitions and is ideal for a range of drills in wet weather if the full sized courts are unplayable . There is also a table tennis table along with a collection of bats for every occasion, including the waterproof ones.
Along with being able to book your own slots to suit your own kind of play, Drummond has social tennis , coaching for adults and children and the opportunity to play for one of the men’s or women’s teams in the East of Scotland leagues.

Club structure, rules and status
Drummond has recently transitioned to from an unincorporated club to a Company with Limited Liabilty and Community Amateur Sports Club Status run by its members for the benefit of its members and the local community, as detailed formerly in the club constitution and now in the Company Articles. It has existed on this site on land leased from Edinburgh city council since the 1930s.
The club is managed by a Committee/ Directors whose members are elected at the Annual General Meeting ( in February) It has been built mostly by and is run entirely by volunteers.
If you have any questions about anything at the club, please feel free to contact any member of the Committee and they should be able to help.
The rules are kept to a minimum to allow for proper risk management and appropriate accountability without completely stifling Drummond creativity. The Committee must be able to risk manage effectively as their role is to provide a safe environment while allowing members to enjoy the facilities. Within this environment all members must also take a responsibility for managing the risks and for safe guarding. The new Articles have been painstakingly reworked from the earlier Constitution to detail the management of the club. All members should familiarise themselves with both the rules and the Articles to help with the smooth running of the club.
