Tucked behind Scotland Street, in the centre of Edinburgh, this friendly club offers a great location, two lovely blaes courts, and a practice court for kids. There is social tennis in the evenings and at weekends; coaching for adults and children; and the opportunity to play for one of the men’s or women’s teams in the East of Scotland leagues.
Come along and have a look – new members are welcome!
Club structure, rules and constitution
Drummond Tennis Club is a community amateur sports club run by its members for the benefit of its members and the local community, as detailed in the club constitution. It has existed on this site on land leased from Edinburgh city council since the 1930s.
The club is managed by a committee whose members are elected at the Annual General Meeting ( in February) and is run entirely by volunteers.
If you have any questions about anything at the club, please feel free to contact any member of the committee and they should be able to help.
The rules are kept to a minimum and are there to keep everyone safe and able to enjoy the facilities. The constitution details the management of the club. All members should familiarise themselves with both the rules and the club constitution to help with the smooth running of the club.
