Our membership year runs from May 1st to April 30th, and members and new members will be able to renew/join from mid-April onwards.
We will find the right package that works for any potential new members, and get you playing tennis!
Full membership for 2024/25 includes:
Summer Play on our grass courts (early May through to late September, depending slightly on the weather)
- Our 4 grass courts are available to book on an hourly basis using ClubSpark from 10am to 9pm every day.
- Court bookings are free to book for our members, but anyone is able to 'Pay & Play' at Elms for just £10 per hour/court - a great way to try our club out if you're thinking of becoming a member, and we will happily deduct your Pay & Play fee from your membership if you do decide to join!
- We will be running open mix-in club sessions five times a week during the summer:
Tuesday evenings 5pm-8pm on 4 courts
Thursday evenings 5pm-8pm on 2 courts (or all 4 courts if /when 2 are not needed for coaching)
NEW Friday evenings 5pm-8pm on 2 courts
Saturday afternoons 2pm-5pm on 4 courts
NEW Sunday afternoons 2pm-4pm on 4 courts – particular emphasis on fun session and welcoming those people who are less confident. - We will be entering three teams into the local tennis league each summer (contact us if you would like to be play in a team).
- We organise club tournaments for our members during the summer months (dates to be confirmed).
- Tennis ladders and WhatsApp groups (beginners, people available at particular times etc.) can be set up once we start the season.
OPEN MIX-IN SESSIONS
During the summer months, we run regular open mix-in sessions for all our full members (see above for times). All standards are very welcome and you don’t have to stay for the whole session. Just come along and get to meet new people and enjoy some fun doubles. Tennis balls are provided for all mix in sessions.
On Saturday afternoons tea and cake are served in the clubhouse. Cakes are made by members and we use a sheet in the clubhouse and/or message on our WhatsApp group for people to sign up to providing cake for particular Saturdays. We can also extend the Saturday mix in sessions for longer if numbers are high.
Winter Play on hard courts (generally October through to the end of April)
Over the winter months, we arrange for our members to have the use of some local hard courts for mix-in sessions. During the winter of 2023/24, we played at Blackbrook Sports Centre on Saturday afternoons, and on some Thursday evenings as well.
Fit to Play
Please seek medical advice if you have a medical condition that might interfere with your safety before playing tennis at Elms. Anyone using our courts, whether a member, guest or simply a member of the public booking a court without being (with) a member, is responsible for their own health and for any injuries or accidents that may befall them. Please also take heed of our warnings about playing on the courts when they are wet – this is not only unsafe as they become very slippery, but it is also damaging for the grass.
Memberships
Adult Full Membership 2024/25

Our Full Adult membership covers 1 adult and any children under 25, all living at the same address. Members have full access to our own grass courts in the summer, and can take part in any outdoor winter tennis arranged for members by Elms LTC.
Eligibility: No restrictions, eligible to play in matches, competitions and club sessions. New members will be invited to have an informal session with one of the club players to help choose the most beneficial package.
Adult Resident (Elms Estate) Membership 2024/25

Elms Estate residents are entitled to play on our grass courts for a reduced fee, not including any tennis club sessions. Residents joining as full members are eligible for a 10% discount on full fees, but please contact the club before joining.
Eligibility: All Elms Estate Residents as agreed by the Elms Estate Management Committee (limited to people living in Elm Grove, Birch Grove and The Avenue only).
Family Full Membership 2024/25

Our family membership covers 2 adults and any children under 25, all living at the same address. All family members have full access to our own grass courts in the summer, and adults can take part in any outdoor winter tennis arranged by Elms LTC.

Junior Full Membership (under 25 years) 2024/25

Juniors have full access to our grass courts in the summer and are able to play in matches and take part in all competitions and club sessions during the summer months.
Eligibility: Under 25 years. Please note that our full Adult and Family membership packages also cover any U25s living at home.
Age: 24 and under
Young Adult Full Membership (25-30 years) 2024/25

Young Adults have full access to our own grass courts in the summer, and can take part in any outdoor winter tennis arranged for members by Elms LTC.
Eligibility: Adults aged between 25 and 30 years are eligible to play in matches, competitions and club sessions. New members will be invited to have an informal session with one of the club players to help choose the most beneficial package.
