Sophie Butland will be coaching at Elms LTC on Wednesdays!

We are delighted to welcome Sophie of 'SB Tennis'  to Elms LTC, and look forward to her coaching at Elms over the 2025 summer season.

We have been very lucky to find a new coach, Sophie Butland, who is available for individual and group coaching sessions every Wednesday for both members and non-members. Sophie is an LTA Accredited Level 3 Coach, with over 14 years of coaching experience at all ages and levels.  

Sophie has represented Somerset at county level and competed nationally. Her tennis journey also took her to the U.S., where she earned a tennis scholarship at Indiana University of Pennsylvania, graduating with a degree in Sports Coaching and Exercise Science.

Her coaching experience extends beyond the UK, having spent a year coaching in Brisbane, Australia, which added an international dimension to her coaching style and expertise.

Sophie will be available for private coaching from 10am – 2pm on Wednesdays. She will also be running 6-week after-school group coaching sessions for children, and evening group sessions for adults, from Wednesday the 3rd of June to Wednesday the 8th of July.  

Individual lessons £30 members, £35 non-members (plus the court booking fee).  Group coaching works out @ £7/session for adults, £5.50/session for children (£8 and £6.50 for non-members, no court fee).

Sophie is also running the Barclays Big Tennis Weekend (afternoon) at Elms on Sunday 31st May  from 1pm to 4pm - a fun-filled day of FREE tennis for kids, adults, and families!  Courts will be available throughout the afternoon for anyone to play on, and fun, Free coaching sessions will be run for both children and adults too.

[Members and non-members are welcome to book courts and arrange for their own coaching sessions on our courts on other days, but please be aware that any coach MUST be LTA accredited.
