Cumbria County Awards

There were plenty of awards for junior members of the Club and for full details see the Junior pages.  The Club Coach of the Year is Jon Griffin and one of his protegees Louis Glaves received Junior Boy of the Year - big congratulations to both Jon and Louis.  The Under 18 County Cup Team, coached by Jon won the Chris Fidler Memorial Trophy.

Wimbledon Ticket Opt-in 

If you haven't already done so, please login to your British Tennis Member area on the lta website here and click on the Opt-in button for Wimbledon tickets.  Even if you do not require tickets, the Club's allocation of tickets depends on the number of Opt-ins.  Unfortunately, this has to be done each year, but please help us to get as many tickets as possible.

Rained off Tuesday nights

A few years ago we had a few courts booked for Wednesday nights at 6 pm which could be used if the Tuesday night social session was rained/snowed off.  This has now been reinstated for Court 4, although there is no guarantee who will take advantage of this, but a few phone calls to other players may result in a replacement session.  There will usually be a second court free if you check the Court Bookings - See here

Free floodlights Tuesday nights

The Committee has agreed to suspend payments from players for the use of floodlights on Tuesday nights.  The Club will now withstand the cost.

New Committee

The new Chairman of the Club is Graham Honeybone and full details of the new Committee is on the Contact/Committee page.  At the AGM thanks were made to retiring Committee members, Avril Standing and Royden Davies, for all their hard work over the years.
