2024 AGM

The 2024 AGM was held in the Village Hall on 3rd December.  25 people attended.

Janet Groome circulated the accounts.  It was proposed and agreed that the adult subscription should be increased to £110.  All other categories to remain at the same rate.

Team Captains reported on a fun year for Lavenham tennis.  The star performers were Mens A who won Div 1 for only the 5th time in the club's history and the first time since 2008.  The Senior Men won their Division 1 again.  Senior Ladies also won - but theirs was only a friendly league so no trophy.

Coach Kris Jenkins said he was very sad to be leaving the club at the end of December but has been given a great opportunity to coach at Newmarket.  He was very pleased that Josh Mumford had started coaching during the year.  The juniors are coming on well and one is playing for the Men's B team.

The Chairman, Kevin Milner, reported on the upgrades to Courts 1 and 2 including the lights on Court 1.  He thanked all captains, the committe and others who have organised tennis at the club.  He also thanked Kris Jenkins for his 7 years at the club and wished him well for the future.

Cups for the club tournaments were presented.

Chris Hardingham was elected as President for a 3 year term replacing Sandra Orford.  Sandra was elected on to the committee alongside all other members who were prepared to stand again including the Chairman, Secretary and Treasurer.  Josh Mumford had been co-opted on to the committee during the year and was also elected to continue.
