Welcome to Lowestoft Town Tennis Club

Club nights have started for the summer! New formats.

As of Tuesday March 30th 2022 club nights have started.

Tuesdays from 5.30pm until dusk is open doubles play on courts 1 and 2 and match practise on courts 3 and 4.  Just come along sometime after 5.30pm.

Thursdays, with all players starting at 5.45pm is 'Rhodes' night.
A format picked up in Rhodes, play takes place across all 4 courts. All levels of ability can play. Each four plays for 20 minutes with the winning pair moving up to the next court and the losing pair moving down a court. Original pairings split so that they don't play each other for the next round of 20 minutes. The evening continues in this format. Conventional mixed or mens/ladies is not always possible yet it doesn't matter in this system.

It's all about playing tennis and having fun!

At Lowestoft Town Tennis Club we are always pleased to welcome new junior and adult members and offer a range of memberships.

We encourage informal and organised social play and offer competitive club and league matches.

We are based at the Denes Oval in north Lowestoft. We have four hard courts and a clubhouse with kitchen and toilet facilities in a lovely park and coastal setting. Courts are available for use every day throughout the year. In June 2022 planning permission was granted to floodlight the courts and once installed play will be able to continue until 10.15 pm.

The main Club activity takes place between March and September each year but we have a year round playing and coaching programme. The Club runs 4 teams in the Lowestoft and District League during the summer, 2 Vets teams in the Norwich and District summer league and 4 teams in the Norwich winter league. All matches are doubles, either mixed, ladies or mens.

Our comprehensive range of adult and junior coaching programmes is delivered by a team of LTA-qualified coaches to give all players opportunities to improve their tennis and gain greater enjoyment from the game.
