Becky and Tory had fantastic week leading the Leicestershire charge at North Oxford LTC, playing together throughout the weekend and picking 12 wins in 15 matches.
Close victories against Durham and and Derbyshire were complemented by more comprehensive wins over Avon, Somerset and closest rivals Nottinghamshire, putting the Foxes top of the table and secure promotion to Division 3!
Julie Blackwood led a relatively inexperience North of Scotland team at East Gloucestershire Club, winning 7 of her 15 matches. The team had a string of close defeats ultimately leading to their relegation from Division 6. They'll no doubt feel a little hard done by with two 5-4 defeats. Either of which having finished as 5-4 wins would have led to them staying in Divison 6. Such are the fine margins at this high level...
