The work done by our court maintenance contractors 4 times a year is the main way we keep our courts in top condition.  But the manufacturers of the artificial grass encourage more regular brushing of the courts, which is of benefit to all who play on our courts.  It significantly extends the quality and life of our courts if we drag them every couple of weeks.  There are 3 dragging brushes on the courts.  If members could occasionally brush a court, it would be of huge benefit to all.

In order to preserve the nets and the net-posts, best practice is to release the tension on the nets slightly at the end of each day. If you are last on court please remember to do this, and the net heights can then be re-set by those first on court the next day.

We should not play on courts when the temperature is below -5°C and must take great care if courts are frozen. But each individual has to be responsible for their own safety.
