Deadline to register for the next cycle will be Sunday 11 January 2026. 

Below are the planned dates for the cycles of 2026:

Cycle #3
Start date: 17 Jan 2026 (Saturday)
Duration: 15 weeks (longer due to winter months' start)
End date: 29 April 2026 (Wednesday)

Cycle #4
Start date: 2 May 2026 (Saturday)
Duration: 12 weeks 
End date: 28 July 2026 (Tuesday)

4+ week break for Summer & Club tournament 

Cycle #5
Start date: 29 August 2026 (Saturday)
Duration: 13 weeks 
End date: 30 November 2026 (Monday)

When the cycle ends, one player moves one level down and one player from the box below moves up (relegation / promotion style)

Match Format

1. The players in a Box are expected to play each other at least once in an official game
2. A match should be 2 full sets or 1 full set and a 10 point tie-break (players can agree what works for them)

Scoring

1. Player wins both sets (2 full tie-break sets or 1 full tie-break set and one 10 point tie-break):
Winner 4 points, loser 1 point

2. Players each win one set (1 set or one 10-point tie-break):
Each player 2 points

3. One player unable to play a match:
Available player 3 points, unavailable player 0 points

4. One set completed, second set not completed:
Players to agree if first set winner gets 3 points and the other gets 1 point
or
Each player get 2 points

Ladder Admin

Ateesh will manage the results table - just send your scores to him after playing and he'll circulate updated tables every two weeks.

If you don't fancy the ladder, you are still very welcome to join the Whatsapp Singles Matches Enthusiasts group to arrange ad hoc hits or matches. It has already proven quite a hit with lot of folks.  To get on the group, please contact Sylvia, Ateesh or any of the folks who you might know are already on the group!
