Team Selection

Junior and Senior Teams representing Northumberland enter the annual County Cup.  Please see information below about selection criteria and team captains.

Representing Northumberland

The County aims to select the "best" team for the various competitions in which Northumberland Teams participate, and selection is based on the following crireria subject to players availability:

1. World Ranking
2. LTA Ranking - National and County
3. Recent performances based on published results
4. other factors which may be taken into account i.e injury affecting ranking, attitude and effort.

The team will be selected by the County Captain for the age group, as appointed by the County Assosiation, together with a nominated County Association selector.

Players who wish to be considered for selection should ensure that they are competing in local grade tournaments as a minimum.  Details of tournaments are available from the website.
