Aims And Objectives
The Vision of the LTA is: Tennis Opened Up.
As a County Association, our Mission is to grow tennis in the County by making it relevant, accessible, welcoming and enjoyable.
Our objectives are:
- to increase the number of people engaging with Northumberland LTA through increased attendance at Club Forums, an increase in the number of coaches in the Coach Network and attendance at Club Forums, and an increase in Club engagement through the roll-out of a County Lead Volunteer contact programme with Clubs.
- To increase the number of players playing more often.
- To promote County tournaments, Team Challenge and adult singles events.
- To increase competition for mini orange, particularly in winter months.
- To develop recreational competitive opportunities.
We aim to deliver our objectives through a series of strategic policies under the headings of visibility, innovation, investment, accessibility, engagement, performance and leadership.
The NLTA has adopted a Strategic Plan which sets out the specific measures which it is planned to be carried out during 2019-20. This strategic plan, which will reviewed and updated annually, can be found at:
