The governing body of tennis in Northumberland is NLTA council who meet regularly throughout the year. Membership of the NLTA Council comprises the following:

Meet the County Executive
Chris Lott - County Chair
Chair of the Northumberland LTA Council and on behalf of Northumberland LTA, Chair and Director of Northumberland Tennis Ground Limited, which owns the freehold interest in the Northumberland County Tennis Ground and of the Northumberland County Tennis Centre. Chris is also Chair of the Northumberland LTA Executive Committee, a member and an ex-officio member of the Management Committee of the Northumberland Tennis Academy. Chris was formerly a member of the Executive Committee of the Northumberland Club and is also currently Treasurer of his local club, Ponteland LTC.
Tom Kinloch - County Vice Chair
Tom joined the NLTA Council in 1998 having been involved in County tennis as the referee of The Northumberland Open since 1995, which he still referees. He was appointed as LTA Councillor for the County in 2000 and served on numerous boards and committees, including 2 years on the Main Board as a Council Elected Member. Vice-Chair of the County since 2004 and Chairman of the Northumberland Tennis Academy, Tom is also an ITF/ATP/WTA Gold Badge Referee.
Martin Clark - County Secretary
Martin has served on the Northumberland Council since 1994, he is currently Chair of both the Northumberland Open Tennis Tournament and the Sport Newcastle Tournament (formerly the South Northumberland Open Tournament). He is also one of the longest standing members of the Northumberland Club, where he not only played for the teams but also served on the committee as Tennis Chair for a number of years. Prior to this Martin was a member of Beverley Park LTC where he also served on the committee.
George Murphy - County Treasurer
George is a Chartered Accountant who retired after 20 years as partner in private practice. He is Club Treasurer of Cullercoats LTC since 1991, a regular player in Northumberland and Durham Tennis Leagues and has held the role of Northumberland LTA Treasurer since 2002.
Simon Telfer - County Administrator
Simon carries out a wide range of administrative duties on behalf of the County and the Northumberland Tennis Academy.
