On Wednesday 24th August, the LTA President, David Rawlinson visited Beverley Park LTC to find out what work the club has been getting up to over the last few months.

The club give David a tour of the venue and spoke about the history of the club. We also discussed about where the club is now and what we have to offer, this included, our junior and adult coaching programme which provides a session for all ages and abilities!

The day consisted of David playing a mixed doubles match with the club's chairperson, Julia Carmichael, life member, Robin Robinson and 50 time club champion, Jane Pledger. It was a great match, which seen Jane and Robin win a tight contest 6-4.

Throughout the event we also had our Walking Tennis players having a social hit and several of our players had a conversation with David and mentioned how the club's walking tennis programme has helped them over the last two years, physically, mentally and socially!

The event was concluded with refreshments and cake and a group photo. Thank you to all the organisers who helped on the day.
