Following the further easing of lockdown restrictions affecting tennis, the LTA have issued new guidelines concerning the resumption of doubles play.

The main points to be aware of are listed below:
- 4 players from different households can play on the same court
- Avoid chasing the ball onto another court if it is in use
- Players do not need to play with their own marked balls - 4 tubes of new tennis balls will be made available each week in the clubroom
- Avoid using your hands to pick up tennis balls. A glove on the opposite racket hand is a good idea
- Consider agreeing in advance with your partner who will take a ball hit down the middle
As with the original guidance that has been posted on the earlier news item in May relating to singles play, please follow these instructions:
- Social distancing of 2 meters whenever possible
- Hand washing before and immediately after play
- Avoid touching your face when playing
- Avoid congregating around the courts
- Court bookings are essential and MUST be made on the club website
- Nets to be left up
- Benches are out of bounds
- Wipes/sanitizers are available in the club room.
Unfortunately we cannot yet organise normal club night play owing to the maximum of 6 players present in a group at any time.
