Work has begun cleaning the courts in readiness for resurfacing...

We have recently approved the installation of shiny new artificial clay courts and will be the only clay court club in this part of South Leicestershire

As a softer surface with slide this it be beneficial for knees and other joints and playing longevity; allowing our longest standing members to extend their playing years whilst also allowing our younger members to develop a full range of shots and  develop their baseline skills.

It will also enable us to play all year round providing an ideal surface with Rapid drainage properties allow play to commence during all wet conditions without the court’s characteristics being affected - ideal in oour climate! Featuring all the characteristics of natural clay and ITF-approved for tournament play.

There is of course loose sand on the surface and the courts will require brushing between sets/matches with a carpet provided.
