Medbourne Tennis Club offers a range of opportunities to play tennis, socially or competitively.

Social tennis

Booking a court is through the online court booking system found on the website or via the Club Spark App. To book a court a member has to be registered with ClubSpark ClubSpark / Home (lta.org.uk), this then gives access to the court schedules on line. Therefore anyone wishing to play must book a court online and enter all participants onto the booking.

There are three club mix in sessions for any member to come along and play singles,doubles or mixed doubles.

Club morning

Wednesday mornings:

09.00 - 11.00

Followed by tea and coffee in the clubhouse.

Club Night

Thursday evenings

6.30pm onwards

Club morning

Saturday

09.30 - 12.00

Club nights and mornings are open to all members and there is no issue about ability, everyone is welcome. The ball machine is available on one court during club night/mornings and then a mixture of singles and doubles takes place on the other two courts. There is a very friendly atmosphere on these sessions and it is a great way to meet other members.The bar is normally open as well to quench your thirst after playing..

Competitive tennis

This year the club is fielding  two ladies, one mens teams and a mixed team in the Leicestershire Doubles Summer league and one ladies team in the winter league. The club aims to ensure that all members willing to play in the league matches do get the chance to play, matches are held in the evenings Mon - Thurs for the summer leagues and weekends for the winter league. To be eligible to play in the county league matches you have to be a fully paid up member of Medbourne Tennis Club and hold a BTM number.

Club Tournaments

In the playing season the club runs a number of Inhouse American Doubles Tournaments. Notice of these tournaments  can be found on this page and the 'What's on' page of the website and is sent out by email. The tournaments run on weekdays and weekends and the proceeds go to charity.

Junior tennis

The club welcomes children of all ages to play on the courts. Children under the age of 13 years must be accompanied by an adult when using the courts; the club cannot take responsibility for chidren under the age of of 13 years when playing unsupervised.
