Summer report - Ladies Third Team

The Ladies 3rd Team had a really enjoyable Summer League and finished in a very respectful 3rd place in Division 4a.
Fourteen different ladies played matches including a couple of newbies and everyone who was eligible and wanted to play managed to get a game.
Thanks to Carole Fishwick, Helen Towns (who finished 8th and 9th repsectively in the league Top 10 players), Neelum Mistry, Svetlana Willmott, Rachel Lovegrove, Anne Charlton, Margaret Heafford, Helen Broadhurst, Anita Bartys, Jo Buxton, Sophie Fish, Rachael Holliday, Barbara Dry.
Unlike our opponents, we were delighted to field a full team for every game which was incredible as one week we had 3 matches (and some players also had seniors or 2nd team matches too- Thank you Helen!).
We had lots of fun and the comradery was amazing! During a home match, only one pair turned up to play us, but we didn’t let that dampen our spirits. It was a glorious summers evening, we had a fabulous grazing table and we enjoyed good company for over an hour after all games completed!
Thank you to everyone who filled in last minute and to all the drivers (Rachel always volunteered to drive!).
