As the weather veers between stormy and cold, Leicestershire's tennis players are looking forward to the start of the county Winter Indoor Mixed League.
This brings together some of the county's best players in a series of timed matches played in the pleasantly warm environment of Loughborough University.
Each match is decided using a medley format, beginning with 40 minutes of men's and ladies' doubles, followed by 40 minutes of mixed doubles.
Charnwood have been enthusiastic participants in this league since its inception, and are the only club to have two teams in the top division.
This year, the league is stronger than ever, with The Leicestershire putting in a team for the first time, and Leicester Forest East also making their debut in the top division.
Charnwood will once again put out a third team in the lowest division, and this will give opportunities for a range of players to enjoy the competition as well as to challenge for promotion.
