It was a busy weekend of action for Charnwood Tennis Club with several winter league doubles matches in the latest round of fixtures.
All of these matches are scheduled to be two teams of four playing against their opponents with each pair playing two matches over two sets.
On Sunday morning Charnwood Men's first team hosted Kegworth firsts, however their opponents were unfortunately depleted and so forfeited four sets, Charnwood won one of the four sets that were played so secured a victory by five sets to three
In the afternoon, their ladies second Team hosted Victoria firsts and won a closely fought, high quality fixture, again by five sets to three.
Also in the afternoon, the ladies fourth Team were in action hosting Upper Broughton. The result couldn't have been any closer with both teams winning four sets, but Charnwood took the honours by the narrowest of margins as they won 34 games and lost 33.
