Charnwood Tennis Men's third team hosted Leicester University on their clay courts on Thursday 16th June, and won a great match by six sets to three, each set being the first to eight games. The home pairings were, Davide De Focatiis and Jack Phillips, Mike Gubb and James Holt as well as Mark Dearden playing with Mehmet Saracoglu who won all three of their sets by the scores 8-5, 8-0 and 8-3.
Tremendous credit must be given to Jack Phillips, as he sat two GCSE exams on the same day prior to playing some excellent tennis and contributing to the team's victory.

Charnwood Ladies third team hosted Oakham second team on Thursday the 16th of June and pulled off an emphatic victory by nine sets to nil. Captain Sue Westwood was delighted with the victory in which all three pairings gelled and played some excellent tennis. The pairings were, Sue Westwood and Naomi Vanlint, Mia Palmer and Jane Brinklow and the duo Michelle Williams and Jitske Boonstra.
