Welcome to Elms Lawn Tennis Club - Somerset Club of the Year 2021
Club mix-in sessions continue over the winter months
Elms LTC is a small, vibrant and friendly club with 4 beautiful grass courts set in a garden square just a short distance from Taunton town centre.
Our summer season runs from early May to late September, after which our members are able to continue playing in a couple of club mix-in sessions on the outdoor courts at Blackbrook each week.

During the summer, we organise members' mix-in sessions on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday evenings, Saturday afternoons (tea and cakes also on offer!) and also on Sunday afternoons too. We have 3 teams playing matches playing in the local league, tennis coaching, and active WhatsApp groups to make it easy for members to organise and join other tennis games throughout the week. We also organise various social tournaments and events throughout the summer season.
Our membership packages include free court bookings, although Guest Fees of £5 per guest are payable for any non-members playing on a member's booked court (maximum of £10 per court/hour).
Members of the public are welcome to book our grass courts through our website, for a £10 hourly fee per court.
We have an Open Day in May each year, but we're always happy to welcome prospective members at any time, so don't worry if you don't make it to our Open Day - just let us know if you'd like to come and try out our courts or to discuss memberhsip options: info@elmstennis.co.uk
Winter Season tennis (from September 25th 2024 - early May 2025) at Blackbrook
During the winter season, we have an arrangement with Blackbrook that enables our members to continue to play tennis on hard courts (outdoors) for club mix-in sessions on Thursday evenings and Saturday afternoons - all included in our full membership packages.
Our WhatsApp group is also much used by members for organising their own winter games on other hard courts around Taunton: Blackbrook, Vivary Park and Taunton Green in particular.

Elms Lawn Tennis Club
Elms Lawn Tennis Club is a thriving and friendly tennis club, with four grass courts set in an idllyic location close to the centre of Taunton. We play on our own grass courts in the summer months, May to September, and we continue with club mix-in sessions throughout the winter on local hard tennis courts.
During the summer months, you can start playing straight away by using 'Pay & Play' - book and pay for one of our courts by the hour - or you can choose from a range of membership options one that best suits your circumstances. If you are looking to improve, or are just starting off, you may well want to join one of our coaching sessions.

Court Bookings and Joining
We have tried to make it as easy as possible for you to join as a member, or simply to Pay & Play. Our membership offer for 2024/25 is summarised below, but please see our 'Joining Us' page for full details .
- Adult Single - £110 (including any of their children under 25)
- Family - £190 (including any of their children under 25)
- Adults aged between 25 and 30 - £50
- Juniors under 25 (who do not have a parent member) - £35
- Pay & Play - £10/per hour per court - available to non-members
- Residents' Membership (only available to Elms Residents for the summer) - £35
- Guest/Visitors - £5
Members have access to our large clubhouse which has men's and ladies' changing rooms and toilets, in addition to a well-equipped kitchen area.
On-street parking (free for 2 hours) is easily available, but check the signs to make sure you're not in a residents' zone.
