This tournament, introduced to the club by Sean Byrne, our coach, has proved popular
and has become an annual event. This year there were ten pairs. It was an ideal number,
the entrants getting plenty of tennis on a Round Robin basis.
For those who enjoy statistics, there is plenty to ponder in the make up of the pairs:
- Father and Son x 2
- Father and Daughter x 2
- Mother and Daughter
- Pair of Junior Brothers
- Adult Female with Junior Boy
- Adult Male with Junior boy x 2
- A Tag Team, described as such by Sean: junior boy starting with Adult Male and concluding with Adult Female (calls for a referee led enquiry resisted!).
There were light refreshments.
