On a glorious sunny morning Gosforth Vets 1st team returned to winning ways and the top of the league with a comprehensive 8-0 victory over Shotley and Benfield.
Simon Mothersole playing his first match of the season for Gosforth Vets fitted in seamlessly with the regular Gosforth Vets players (Johny, Paul and Krasen).
The match was played in good spirits between the two teams and a fine lunch was provided in the sunshine, with players discussing tennis, life, weather and English literature !
