On a Wednesday morning, it has become “traditional” for three courts to be fully  occupied by a group of ladies, enjoying social tennis. Actually, Wednesday 11 March was not a great day for tennis, it being cold and very windy. Nonetheless, there was an excellent turnout despite the weather, many motivated by it being the last game at the club for Moe (Tomoe Matsushita ). She had come to UK from Japan, with her husband who had had a transfer to work in this locality. She and her husband (he following his work) were about to return to Japan on a permanent basis.

Moe is third from the left in the photograph taken to mark the occasion. She had joined the club in 2022. She became an enthusiastic member and player. She was popular. She says she will miss the club and friends there . We hope so because we will miss her!
