Tthe club's fund raising for refurbishment of the tennis courts has been successful and we have raised nearly £60k to have the work done. The club has had support raising funds via the Grundisburgh and Culpho PCC and Valencia Communities Fund (distribution Landfill Operators, green tax credits). We have contracted with Premier Sports Surfaces to do the work, which will commence from Monday, 5th till Thursday 29th Feb 2024.
The courts will remain closed until mid March to allow the Macadam to cure and harden. At that point the courts will be reopened. The courts will be painted with white temporary lines until May when a full paint job will be completed.
The committee apologises for any inconvenience this may cause. However, if this work is not completed, the courts will eventually become unplayable.
