Keswick & Braithwaite Tennis Club have had an amazing summer season in the West Cumbria Tennis League. Congratulations to all those that have played for us this year and contributed to such a successful season.  Thanks especially to the captains Julie, Janaki, Timea, John, Pete and Ivan for ensuring we had full turnouts for all the matches.  

Our Ladies 1st team are the Ladies champions for 2022  after a close finish with Lorton 1 (see earlier article). They therefore retain the Cup they won in 2021.

The Ladies 2nd team finished second in Ladies Division 2.

Our Men’s 1st team top Men’s Division 2.  We are expecting that they will be crowned champions of Division 2 and promoted to Division 1 for next season but this needs to be confirmed at the WCTL end of season meeting as there are matches involving other teams that have not been played.

Our Mixed 1st team are champions of the Mixed Division 1 winning all their matches.  They also retain the cup they won in 2021.

Our Mixed 2nd team won the Mixed Division 2, winning all their matches (getting promoted) and our Mixed 3rd team finished 2nd in this division.

The cups will be presented at the WCTL end of season meeting on 12 September and will be on display at the celebration we are organising to round off this fantastic summer.
