Physiotherapy

The physiotherapy department will provide professional, fun and effective rehabilitation and injury prevention, in order to facilitate the  discovery and development of the potential within each pupil, through engagement in physiotherapy and physical activity. To facilitate, educate and empower pupils to take ownership of their rehabilitation and maintain a good level of health and fitness outside of sport.

Values:

  • The physiotherapy department is an environment that is welcoming and friendly. We aim to make pupils feel at ease, reassured and comforted.
  • Integrated with the Athletic Development department and coaching teams to ensure the best care and management is provided for each pupil.
  • Work with outside agencies to promote the Millfield Physiotherapy department and the wider ethos of the Millfield Institute of Sport and Wellbeing and the Millfield School.
  • Provide specialist education and support to the wider sporting community out side of Millfield as is appropriate.
  • To enhance and reinforce the values of fair and clean sport via the implementation of the UK Anti-Doping (UKAD) accredited schools programme.
  • Millfield School will be the first UKAD accredited school, which has been developed and implemented by the physiotherapy department.
