Player progression is very important at SPTC.  We have two excellent independent coaches, each with their own unique skills, providing coaching for both non-members and members (with a members' discount rate). Both coaches have an information noticeboard in the Clubhouse.

Contact Natalie or Rachel direct for application details to join their inspiring programme for both Juniors, Students and Adults. This includes termly sessions for beginners through to improvers to team-play training, or their one to one coaching, holiday camps, tournaments or to join their regular newsletters etc. 

Non-members are welcome to apply for coaching places. From Sept 2024, SPTC has introduced a small levy of £2/non-member/session as a contribution towards court maintenance. The coaches will collect this from each non-member as part of the coaching charges.

Natalie Carpenter is our multi-award winning LTA Accredited Level 3 Professional Coach.

Rachel Apsey is our Level 4 Professional coach and represents Team GB at international level.

Through Rachel, we currently have a reciprocal arrangement with Ilminster Tennis Club whereby members from either club can receive coaching at the members' discount rate on each other's courts.
