The Prime Minister announced on 10 May 2020 that healthy adults will be permitted to resume some outdoor sports after 13 May 2020. He also confirmed the Government's expectation that employers and other organisations will be expected to take responsibility for making their premises 'Covid secure', ensuring compliance with social distancing and hand hygiene. Outdoor tennis is one of the sports mentioned in the clarifications covered by the news media on 11 May. The LTA has intimated that singles play will be permitted, together with doubles play if pairs are from the same household. LTA guidance on playing and coaching is expected on 12 May 2020.
The Club will not reopen until it has considered the guidance, completed its risk assessment, and made preparations for keeping members safe at the Club. Members will be informed as soon as the Club is ready to reopen, and the precautions it will take.
