What is a Competition Organiser?

Competition organisers are people who help to run and organise competitions at a recreational level. They can often help referees organise and deliver large regional and national competitions.

To become a competition organiser you will need to attend an online three-hour course – this will help you with all the basics of running local grade 6, grade 7 and ungraded competitions.

Anyone can take the course – no previous experience necessary – but you must be over the age of 16.

The Course

The course is delivered online and you’ll learn about the following areas:

  • Competition framework, World Tennis Number and rankings
  • Running a competition from start to finish – competition creation and submitting results
  • Formal and informal competition formats
  • Creating a great competition experience for the players

There’s no assessment and you’ll get some great resources to help you run competitions. LTA Accredited Coaches will receive three credits for attending.
