Sproughton Tennis Club ‘tennis events’ for 2024
During 2024 we will be running the following:
A singles box league: Any club member, of any standard, can join the box league. New players beingplaced in the box closest to their standard of play – there will be a maximum of 4 players in a box with promotion and relegation between boxes at the end of each month (May to September). There will also be a Winter session running October to the end of March 2025.
A singles handicap tournament: Any club member can enter. A starting score is given to each player with the aim of making it possible for anyone to win the tournament.
Singles Tournaments: Separate Men's and Women’s singles tournaments to decide the club singles champions for 2024.
Doubles Tournaments: Separate Men's, Women’s and Mixed doubles tournaments to decide club champions for 2024.
** All tournaments will be played on a knock-out basis over the summer months, allowing plenty of time for matches to be played in each round. Finals in September.
Mixed American Tournaments: Fun/social doubles tournaments for all club members (men and women), run on the first Sunday of each month May to September.
You play with/against different people - the winner being the player with the most games won. No need to enter beforehand - just turn up on the day at 1:45pm, finish by 5pm.
