Hello all,
We are half-way through the season already – and where did that go?! Hopefully you have all been enjoying your tennis, and will continue to do so in the sunny days still ahead.
We don’t know quite how long our season will last (like all clay-court clubs, our fate is in the hands of the weather gods) but tennis has been known to continue at Drummond into December.
As a special incentive to new members, we are offering a bargain half-price, late-season membership from 1st August, for £42.50 per person. An ideal way to dip into it for those who may be new to Edinburgh, or to tennis.
Some newer members have been asking how to meet other people at the club. The best way is to pop along to one of our social tennis events – open to all, regardless of ability - has a Wednesday lunchtime slot 12-2 and the classic Friday Club Night 6-8pm.
….or come along to this weekend’s Fundraiser Party, now a Drummond institution, as member Miro Dragic seeks to raise money for the British Heart Foundation. Finally, for now, to run a great club we need a great deal of help, and Drummond is actively looking to swell our pool of volunteers for maintenance and groundskeeping tasks. As a community club, we really do value your help. Please approach any members of the committee (names listed on this website) for further details.

Tucked behind Scotland Street in the heart of Edinburgh's New Town
Our friendly club is both a haven and a hub of activity. We have two lovely blaes courts, a versatile smaller practice court and a dedicated table tennis area. Come on your own; come with family; come with friends. We offer courts for your own practice, times for social tennis, coaching for adults and children and the opportunity to play for one of the men’s or women’s teams in the East of Scotland Leagues.
In addition to all of this, a calendar of not-to-be-missed social events is announced each year.
Ask the members what makes Drummond special and they say...
‘its diversity and inclusiveness ... the expertly tended blaes ... the morning sun striking the courts ... social tennis ... team tennis ... the children yelling 'Popcorn' as the fountain of red balls goes up ... the raspberries poking through the mesh fencing ... the coaching ... the characters ... the sense of community...'

Drummond is perfect for players of all standards and ages. We aim to reactivate our vibrant social calendar, including club nights every Friday during the season; we have one ladies’ and three men's teams playing in the East of Scotland LTA Leagues; we offer social tournaments and coaching, and we have a growing number of junior members.
