We thank all supporters for their contributions

Approved Planning Conditions

  • The Club’s floodlights are installed on Courts 1 and 2
  • Operation is permitted between 1st October to 31st March up to 7pm Mondays to Sundays
  • Additionally, operation is permitted to continue from 7pm up to 9pm on two weekdays per week

Usage Protocol

There are two types of floodlight usage and control; ‘Club’ and ‘Paid’:

Club

Club floodlit sessions are to be used for:

  • Midweek Club Nights (roll-ups)
  • Midweek league matches
  • Community Outreach sessions (e.g. for use by the local school or scouts groups, etc)
  • Any other committee-approved sessions or events

Floodlight operation will be undertaken by floodlight switch-key holders, designated by the committee

There will be no additional floodlight fee payable by players at these sessions

Paid

Paid floodlit sessions are to be used for all court bookings made by:

  • Members
  • Non-members (i.e. Pay & Play)
  • Coaches (for all private and adult group coaching sessions)

Payments are to be made by debit/credit card or smartphone (Apple or Google Pay) using the Contactless Payment Machine (CPM) mounted on the pavilion shed, adjacent to the main court gate.

Floodlight Payment Process

  • Book a court in the usual way via the Club’s website ‘Book’ page or the Booker app.
  • Arrive at the courts at the start of the booked period:
  • Tap on the CPM display for the required court and booking period* (see the picture below)
  • Place your debit/credit card (or smartphone) on the display when requested to do so
  • The transaction takes a few seconds; when approved the floodlights will illuminate
  • Note: do not pay for floodlight time beyond 7pm

Note that: Paid periods accumulate, so four 30 minute payments will give 2 hours light. You can spread the cost amongst the players.

At the end of the paid floodlit period one light will remain lit for an additional 5 minutes to allow for safe exit from the courts.

The Floodlights Payment Rate is: £5 per hour

  • Please ensure that the gate is locked when you leave the court.
