Championships Format

The Club is running three Doubles Championships in 2026; Ladies, Mens and Mixed. Entries closed on the 1st May deadline.

All the Championships start with round-robin group matches, in which teams play the other teams in the group once.

The Ladies Championships has two round-robin groups. The top two teams from each group will progress to the semi-finals.

The Mixed and Mens Championships have four round-robin groups. The top team from each group will progress to the semi-finals.

The group rankings will be determined by teams accumulating points (One point for playing a match plus another point for winning a match). Games difference (i.e. games won - games lost) will be used to separate teams tied on equal points.

Match Format

• Matches will be best of three sets. If a set score reaches 6-6, a normal tie-break will be played (first to 7 points by 2 clear).

Schedule

• All round-robin matches are to be completed by 31st August. Please aim to arrange your matches as early as you can. Some Mens and Ladies teams have four round-robin matches to play. 
• Semi-Finals to be played by 21st September
• Finals Day and BBQ on 27th September

Arrange your match directly with your opponents (don't use a Club WhatsApp group chat!)

Results

The match winners are to inform Chris Taylor of the match result ((include the full three sets scores) by sending an email to: Results@fernhursttennisclub.org.uk within 24 hours of completing the match.
