DEVON COUNTY CHAMPIONSHIPS 2024 in Ivybridge from 25-31 AUGUST 2024. LAST YEAR 8U player Kit (then 7) won the 8U Boys Singles! 9U player Robin ( then 8) reached the Mini ORANGE final! THIS YEAR 8U player Kit won the 8U Boys Singles AGAIN! 9U player Marlow won the 9U Boys Singles & Doubles & 10U player Robin won the 10U Boys Singles & Doubles!
WHIRLWIND MINI MASTERS FINALS 2024
SUN 08SEP24 - WHIRLWIND FINALS - RED (8U), ORANGE (9U) & GREEN (10U) - FREE, Top 8 on Devon leaderboards & Top 8 on Cornwall leaderboards, each ball colour/age group.
The finals are FREE & took place on Sunday 8th September. LAST YEAR 8U players Kit & Ralph (then both 7) reached the Mini RED Finals & 9U player Robin ( then 8) reached the Mini ORANGE finals & Kit & Robin won! THIS YEAR 8U player Max won the 8U Boys Singles! 9U player Kit was runner-up in the 9U Boys Singles & 10U player Robin won the 10U Boys Singles!

We are keen to try to strike whilst we are heading into our INDIAN SUMMER & post US OPEN & with SINGLES & DOUBLES & MIXED. Can you let us know if you are interested in SINGLES, or DOUBLES, post doubles league season. Also if there are any times you would like to see this happening e.g

You will be able to arrange your own match times outside of the regular club session slots that are arranged, so we welcome anyone that can't make the regular slots but can take the inititive to arrange their own matches & contacts can be provided

TEAM TENNIS REPORT & SUMMER BOX LEAGUE SINGLES - mid season report
Last year our men's team were all promoted & this year they are riding high. The ladies teams have also had some good results. Check out our TEAM TENNIS page & come watch some of the HOME matches when you can. There are many matches remaining in September & team standings are looking great for more league titles & promotion chances this year.

MEMBERSHIP
Ilfracombe Tennis Club - 2024/25 MEMBERSHIP - The new 2024/25 Tennis year started on the 1st April 2024 & ends on the 31st March 2025 & our new membership options for this year are available on the club website. Where possible our treasurer would like for members to use the BANK TRANSFER method, although other methods are acceptable. See NEWS or MEMBERSHIP
We have added back weekend club sessions & have seen increased attendance at our daytime & evening club sessions. Most of our club sessions operate WhatsApp groups to indicate & help promote attendance. If you would like to be added to any of the WhatsApp groups please email Gary Tovey or click on the links below:

LTA YOUTH COMPETE REWARDS
LTA Youth Compete Rewards - LTA Youth Compete Rewards kickstarted last year & at the time Ilfracombe 9U player Robin was the first player to achieve 20 competitive matches from 1st January 2023, when matches began to count, & thus rewarded with a FREE Mini ORANGE T-shirt & at 40 9U (Orange ball) matches received a FREE Hoody from the LTA...
NB - COMPETING Mini's born 2014 or later can benefit from a FREE LTA (British Tennis) T-shirt & Hoody after completing 20 & 40 competitive matches respectively in any one ball colour (RED, ORANGE & GREEN). There will be some promotion for competing juniors born 2013 or earlier.
