Policies
Kesgrave Tennis Club is committed to ensuring that everyone involved with the club has the right to enjoy their sport in an environment free from the threat of intimidation, harassment, and abuse. The Club respects the rights, dignity, and worth of every person and will treat everyone equally within the context of their sport, regardless of age, ability, gender, race, ethnicity, religious belief, sexuality, or social/economic status.
In order to uphold these values, the club has developed a number of important policies and procedures covering issues such as safeguarding, diversity, club code of conduct, and whistleblowing. All members and guests are bound by these policies and it is incumbent on them to familiarise themselves with the policies and to follow the advice contained within them. Failure to follow the policies could result in disciplinary action, suspension, or exclusion from the club.
Our venue strives to exceed the LTA’s Minimum Safeguarding Standards, a building block to ensure a safe and inclusive venue. This means we have the following in place:
- A Safeguarding Policy (link opens page) that is communicated to everyone at the venue
- A Diversity & Inclusion Policy (link opens page) that is communicated to everyone at the venue
- A trained Welfare Officer (link downloads pdf) that oversees safeguarding at the venue
- All appropriate volunteers & staff have undertaken a Criminal Records Check
- The venue undertakes an Annual Risk Assessment & LTA Registration
Reporting a safeguarding concern:
If someone is in immediate danger, call the police (999).
