Dear members,

The dark days of winter are just about behind us, and thoughts start to turn to long summer days filled with Pimm’s, strawberries , and the sound on tennis balls pinging around the courts.

Social Tennis

Although social tennis has been ongoing during the winter, with free use of floodlights. However, we will be holding a ‘Start of Season Social Tennis Session’ next Monday 3rd April starting at 7pm. We shall be delighted to see as many existing, and any potential new members on the Courts, and will invite all who wish to a drink in the bar afterwards (please note that Juniors can only attend these sessions on the advice of the coach).We will then run sessions on Mondays and Wednesdays at 7pm till the end of October.

Team tennis

We have entered 3 teams in the Mixed tennis leagues which start in May, so anyone who is interested in playing, please contact Jim Wheeler and let him know.

Subscription renewals

The Committee are delighted that we have been able to keep subscription rates at the same levels as last year. We have also introduced a special offer for new Adult members for their 1st year of £60, so if you have any friends who would lie to give us a try, then this is the ideal opportunity, so please let them know.

I hope you have all received an invitation to renew your membership for next year either by email from myself, automated email from our new database/website system or by our new Junior Organiser. I apologise in advance if anyone has or indeed has not received their renewal notices (or have received several!!), as we are introducing a new membership data base. For automated renewals the system will send an email from ‘Clubspark’. If your computer does not recognise this…it may have automatically put it into your Junk Email box, so if you have not seen it, it may be hiding there!

This year there are some new developments, so you have a choice of how to re-join:

1. We have developed a new web site, where you can re-join and pay on line. However it is still in development, so I would be delighted if you could test it for me, and give me some feedback. Click here to go to web site or cut and paste the following into your browser. https://clubspark.lta.org.uk/KettonTennisClubYou will need to register with the site first, then go to the membership tab. There you will see a Family Membership 2017/18 package, which you should be able to enter your details and join.
2. You can send the enclosed Application form and in to Angela with a Cheque, similar to last year. I have also put some printed membership forms up in the Tennis Club pavilion.
3. You can give a completed form and pay by card (or Chq) to our new Junior Organiser (Anna) if you are in contact with her.
