Booking Rules
Welcome to online court bookings for The Leicestershire Tennis & Squash Club.
Court Booking rules:
- Courts may be booked up to a maximum of 14 days in advance.
- Tennis courts should only be booked by members after 4pm Monday to Friday. Court bookings outside of this time cannot be honoured and any member who books will have their courts cancelled by the club.
- The club will notify all tennis members if special circumstances or events mean they are able to book courts outside of the above stated times.
- All 3 squash courts should be booked if available at any time.
- Members may not book a tennis court on-line within 90 minutes of the timeslot.
- Members may not book a squash court online within 45 minutes of the timeslot.
- Bookings may be cancelled up to 2 hours before the scheduled time, after which your booking may only be cancelled and refunded for bad weather or extraordinary circumstance by calling the Office on 0116 270 8813 or by e-mail at manager@leicestershire-tennis.co.uk.
- Members must not utilise any automated system, electronic or otherwise, with the intention of gaining unfair advantage over another member when booking courts online
- Members may only book one court on any specific date.
- Tennis Courts may be booked for two consecutive 45 minute timeslots for a total of 90 minutes per day
- Squash courts may be booked for one 45 timeslot per day. If two timeslots are booked in error, the last timeslot booked will be deleted.
- If a member has booked a court and does not turn up within 15 minutes of the booked timeslot, the court may be taken by other members and the booking fee will be forfeit.
- Any booking may be cancelled by the Club at any time if the court is needed. Members will be advised if this is the case.
- If a court is booked, it is deemed that members are agreeing to abide by these booking rules
Junior members under 12 are encouraged to avoid playing at peak times where possible, (e.g. after 5pm on weekdays and before 12 noon on weekends). Only if all artificial clay and artificial grass courts are occupied, the following rules apply:
1. At the request of waiting members, players shall vacate their court at the end of one set of singles or two sets of doubles. Tie-breaks must be played if needed.
2. If sets are not being played the maximum stay on a court is limited to 1 hour for singles and 1.5 hours for doubles.
3. Players not playing sets who have been asked to vacate their court have 15 minutes to do so if they have reached the maximum stay stated above.
