Dear Member,
We will be running the event from 4th – 18th September and combining the senior and junior tournaments. The aim is to create 2 weeks of intensive playing and club social activity, so please encourage supporters along as well. We will be offering refreshments in the clubhouse during the main playing times and for finals day. (Volunteers for helping with this will be appreciated!)
The U10 (green), U9 (orange) and U8 (red) events will be played as a tournament on Sat 17th September starting at 1pm.
All the other events will have finals on Sunday 18th September from 10am. (Possibly 17th if individual players are involved in many finals!)
Weds/Friday will be used in case of rain. Matches will be staggered across the two weeks with the aim of playing no more than 1 singles match in a day/evening but possibly a singles and a doubles or 2 doubles. We would like those entering to make themselves as available as possible across the two weeks but recognise there will have to be some flexibility (see rules of entry below).
The aim will be to complete the main event quarterfinals by the end of Sunday 11th. We will then aim to play the semi finals on Monday, Tuesday/Thursday of the second week.

Open Mixed Doubles.
If we do not have enough entries (min 5) we will combine the Open and Vets singles events.
If we have enough entries we will also run a Plate competition for those who lose their first matches in the main draw of the mixed doubles. The format of the draws will depend on the number of entries but will be either a round robin or staggered, compass knockout draw.
Junior Events
We are trying to offer as many age groups as possible but the final age groups will depend on entry numbers.

Please note that age groups will be for the winter season starting 1st September 2016. This means that players must be still in their age group on 31st March 2016 (e.g. 16 or under and so on) if in doubt use the age group calculator on the LTA website

How to Enter
There will be online entry again this year
The entry fee is £4 per event (£5 for Open Mixed Doubles)and this will be paid online.

In order to enter the tournament online you will need to have a BTM (British Tennis membership) number. Most members do now have this but if you haven’t see the instructions below on how to get one and is free to all members of LTA affiliated clubs. In also enables you to enter our club draw for Wimbledon tickets each year!
If you do not have a BTM you can still enter but you will need to email mbtctournaments@gmail.com with your name and details of events you want to enter and your partner’s name for any doubles events. Entering online will reduce the amount of work for the tournament organiser!

If you are entering any of the doubles please have your partner’s BTM number as well.

This is a private tournament so is not visible on the LTA website
If you have your doubles partner’s Name and BTM ready as well it will save time doing your entry! Please write any days you are not available in the comments box!
You will receive an email with details of your first match (this will be to the email address in your British tennis profile so please ensure it is up to date. The full draw will be put up at the club by Thursday 3rd September and published on the tournament website.

Tournament Rules for entry
- To enter the tournament you must be a fully paid up member of the club for 2016/2017 on 29/8/2016
- To enter a Senior event, any Juniors must have played for a Senior league/mixed/ Senior Aegon team in the 2015 Winter or 2016 Summer season.
- To enter you must be available to play the finals on Sunday 18th September and available to play during the rest of the tournament either the Sat or Sun of each of the first 2 weekends and 2 evenings during each of the weeks. Please let me know in advance of any days/evenings you cannot play so I can enter it into the scheduling planner you can write this in the comments box when you enter. If you are not sure please ask me!
- Any changes to matches must be agreed through Kate De Fraja as they may have an impact on other matches to be played and court availability.
- Results of matches must be emailed to katedefraja@gmail.com by the winner if I am not at the club to enter the results and written on the paper draw sheets on the notice board.
Additional Junior Tournament Rules for entry
- You may enter a maximum of 2 age groups in which you are eligible to play (eligibility will be based on LTA winter 2016/2017 season 1/9/2016- 31/3/2017)
- The Club Junior Champions will be the winners of the Boys and Girls 16U event.
